blog #310 >> Left Behind Part 1: Random Stuff

Alright, I realize I haven't been blogging lately. It's just that I've been VERY busy and now I've gotten so far behind, I don't know how I'll catch up. In fact, I'm not sure I can. However, I'm going to be posting a series of blogs in an attempt to get back up to date. This is Part 1. Just a reminder, I usually keep facebook up-to-date so you can always check there.

First off, here's some random stuff I found online.

Right, so here we have these two lovely photos from Shorpy, where I have wasted away entirely too many hours. And that's exactly what I'm trying to make my hair look like.

And this photo, also from Shorpy is of, "The Belle Isle Park Aquarium in Detroit circa 1905. Its cavernous spaces and glass viewports afforded aquatic life a fascinating peek at the bipedal terrestrial creatures known as homo sapiens. Detroit Publishing Co." This is a place I'd like to visit someday.

Here is the fancy flowers embedded in Jell-O I made a couple of weeks ago. I only wish they tasted as good as they look.

This is the next project I want to start. I've got some old towels I want to try knitting with, and I can always use a new bath mat.

And someday I want to make a hat just like this.

In the dorkier realm, here is a diagram that explains how exactly a giant turtle and fly and breathe fire.



And I found these while trying to discover how to spell "Sarlacc." There's a whole alphabet and I'm actually pleased that I don't know half the characters listed. Perhaps I'm only half a nerd.
