blog #410 >>Grandpa's Diary: Introduction

As I sit here reading this book, I can not help but realize how fortunate our family is to have this information. Most people in this day and age don't seem to hang onto the things from their past. They may cling to a few odds and ends here and there, but most people prefer to trade in their older goods for the latest and greatest gadgets. I suppose there is initially nothing wrong with this. But as time ebbs and flows, things are misplaced or perhaps thrown away which perhaps should have been saved and remembered. It seems inevitable that history will get lost. But then there are always people who dig it back up again or those of us who are too sentimental to ever bury it to begin with. This is where I'm thankful for my family. And although we may hold on to more than is needed, at least we have all of our history from the past, and we are able to pass it on to generation to generation.

Follow below for parts 1-7.

Happy Memorial Day!
