Shorpy! My favorite stop for old photographs.
www.Shorpy.com is named after Shorpy Higginbotham, a boy who worked in an Alabama coal mine near the turn of the century. It has lots of great images and is always a great way to pass some extra time.

I absolutely adore the photo with the little boy and toy automobile. I wish I had one to ride on the sidewalk. Gorgeous blog!
Oh my goodness! That photo of the floating woman is so beautiful and eerie at the same time!! It's so ghostly, but elegant! Woo! Great post!
And your comment yesterday made me laugh out loud! ;) Thanks! I love my pansy location!
Be sure to look at the one titled 'Clown Eats Boy" on the same website. I love the shirt. Thanks for showing us a great place to view old photos. LM
I just love that picture of the old car. It's like he's saying, "...sigh... I'm a car! And I don't know what to do! I wanted to go both left and right at the same time, but I just can't... 'cause I'm a car... and now I'm just going to sit here, mope about it, and look miserable. I hate being car right now... I wish I were... a train... No wait! Trains can't turn at all, that wouldn't do me any good. I wish I were an elephant! Yeah, that's it! I wish I were an elephant."
